The Dog Treat Company – Review

As part of the winning hamper of becoming a Canine Critic, we were sent a treat pot from The Dog Treat Company to try out and review.

We had the chicken + spirulina + thyme flavour treats which are grain-free, gluten-free, hypoallergenic, have no added salt or sugar. They are little heart-shaped treats.

We took the treats with us on our holiday to Cornwall and they kept Woody refuelled throughout his beach zoomie and I can confirm, there was a lot of them!

The Dog Treat Company bake all of their treats in Devon in England and I love that they only use human-grade, ethically-sourced ingredients. We really keep an eye on what Woody eats both for his main food but also treats he has.

The ingredients in these treats are great. Spirulina is a source of highly digestible plant protein, beneficial fibre and a natural immunity booster. Thyme is known to be beneficial to the skin, supports brain function and gastrointestinal health. It also has antiseptic and antispasmodic properties.

The treats come in a good-sized pot which keeps the dog treats fresh. It’s also good to use for shaking to get your dog’s attention to run back to you when practising recall.

But once you’re doing using the pot, it’s made from recycled board which is super easy to recycle, helping our planet in more ways than one.

These treats get a big 7/10 from us, we will be buying more!

*No fingers were harmed when sampling these treatos!*
